Introduction

The Run for Equality Marathon was organized by the Sathiya Sports Academy on January 30th, 2023 in the Village Jethda, Shujalpur, District Shajapur MP. The marathon was held under the umbrella of the Sathiya Welfare Society and was aimed at promoting equality in all sections of society and encouraging local players to participate in sports events at the state and national level.

Objective of the Marathon

The objective of the Run for Equality Marathon was to bring together participants from all sections of society and promote the cause of equality and sports. The Sathiya Sports Academy and Sathiya Welfare Society aimed to create awareness about the importance of sports and encourage people to participate in physical activities. The event was also aimed at promoting local players and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills and talent.

Categories of the Marathon

The marathon was held in three different categories for women, girls, and boys with different distances of 1KM, 2KM, and 3KM respectively. The categories were designed to provide an opportunity for participants of all ages and abilities to participate in the event and showcase their skills.

Participation

Chief Guests and Dignitaries

The Chief Guests for the event were Shri Narendra Yadav, Zila Panchayat Member, Shri Ashok Malviye, Janpad Member, Shri Prahlad Singh Mewada, Janpad Member, Shri Manoj Verma, Sarpanch, Jethda and other dignitaries. The representatives were impressed by the level of participation of youths, girls and women and promised to extend all possible support to the Sathiya Sports Academy to promote local players in sports. The Chief Guests addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of sports in our daily lives, mentioning that sports bring confidence and discipline, and play a vital role in our fitness.

Awards and Recognition

The top five participants in each category were awarded medals and cash prizes, in recognition of their efforts and achievements in the marathon. The awards and recognition were a testimonial to the hard work and dedication of the participants, and encouraged them to continue participating in sports events in the future.

The Run for Equality Marathon was a resounding success and received tremendous support from the participants and the local community.
