The rapid expansion of digital and online platforms has revolutionized communication, making it more
accessible and efficient. However, this progress has also led to an alarming rise in cyber frauds, phishing
attacks, and online scams. In response to these threats, Sathiya Welfare Society has taken an active
role in Madhya Pradesh Police’s ‘Safe Click Campaign‘, a statewide initiative conducted from 1st
February to 11th February 2025. Through coordinated efforts with law enforcement, educational
institutions, community organizations, and various stakeholders, Sathiya has worked diligently to raise
cyber safety awareness and educate the public on digital security.
Sathiya’s Role in the Safe Click Campaign
Sathiya Welfare Society, as a responsible and community-driven organization, successfully coordinated
multiple Cyber Safety Awareness Programs in Bhopal, Betul, and Shajapur districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The ‘Safe Click Campaign’ initiative of community Policing Branch of Madhya Pradesh Police was aimed
at educating students, teachers, and general citizens about emerging cyber threats, best practices for
digital safety, and legal remedies against cybercrimes.
Cyber Safety Awareness at Extol Institute of Management, Bhopal
On 11th February 2025, Sathiya Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Police,
conducted a Cyber Safety Awareness Program at Extol Institute of Management, Jahangirabad,
Bhopal. The event was attended by key officials including ACP Jahangirabad Ms. Surbhi Meena,
Station In-charge Mr. Ashutosh Upadhyay, Cyber Expert & Sub-Inspector Mr. Laxman Rai, Sathiya
Welfare Society’s Chairperson Ms. Smriti, Principal of Extol Institute Dr. Shakti Dubey, and Program
Officer Mr. Sandeep Suman.
- ACP Ms. Surbhi Meena emphasized the importance of awareness in preventing cybercrimes and how vigilance can significantly reduce cyber fraud risks.
- Jahangirabad Police Station In-charge Shri Ashutosh Upadhyay highlighted that most cybercrimes occur because of greed, and avoiding suspicious links, fake job offers, and unknown banking calls can protect individuals from fraud.
- Cyber Expert Sub-Inspector Shri Laxman Rai discussed the myths about ‘Digital Arrest’, he said that the police don’t retain any right of arresting anyone digitally because there is no any legal provision for digital arrest in our legal framework. He guided participant students on reporting cyber-crimes through helpline 1930 and cybercrime.gov.in.
- SWS President Ms. Smriti discussed the role of police and NGOs in spreading awareness on various social issues.





Cyber Security Awareness in Betul District
On 5th February 2025, a Cyber Security Awareness Program under “Safe Click Campaign” was held at
Janpad Panchayat Hall, Shahpur, Betul, where 80+ representatives from community and police
officials attended. The police emphasized the participants about reporting of cybercrimes using 1930
or cybercrime.gov.in within the “Golden Hour” for better recovery chances.
On 8th and 11th February 2025, cyber safety awareness programs were conducted at Tikri’s
Krishnapura Ward and ITI College in Shahpur, Betul. The sessions were led by Sub-Inspector Chitra
Kumre and Lalita Ivne from Kothi Bazar Police Station, educating 50+ SHG members and community
representatives about cyber threats and safety measures.
Another session on Cyber Safety under “Safe Click Campaign” at Shahpur ITI College saw participation
of 60+ students, with information shared by Sub-Inspector Sonam Sahu on phishing, digital frauds, and
OTP sharing risks. Faculty members Dr. Sanjay Bankar, Dr. Jyoti Verma, and Dr. Subhash Verma also
contributed the program with their understanding and experiences of cyber threats.




Cyber Awareness Session at Government Higher Secondary School, Jamner, Shajapur
On 7th February 2025, in collaboration with the Shujalpur Police, a cyber safety awareness program
was held for school students along with teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Shujalpur Mandi Police Station In-charge Mr. Narmada Prasad Daima educated students on safe digital practices and cybercrime prevention.
- Students were encouraged to share their learnings with family members to create a chain of awareness on cyber safety.


Cyber Awareness at Extol College, Bawadia Kalan, Shahpura, Bhopal
SWS coordinated another impactful session on Cyber Safety under “Safe Click Campaign” on 10th Feb
2025 at Extol College, Shahpura, Bhopal, where Additional DCP (Zone-1) MS. Rashmi Agarwal Dubey,
Shahpura Police Station In-charge Shri Lokendra Singh, and Cyber Expert Shivam Varsi conducted an
interactive discussion. Key takeaways of the session were:
- The necessity of strong passwords and 2-factor authentication (2FA).
- Avoiding public Wi-Fi for financial transactions.
- Use recognized e-commerce websites and app for online shopping
- Always ensure that your call is not forwarded to any other number
- Use HTTPS website for secure browsing.
- Use official website and apps for getting customer care support.
- Importance of reporting cyber fraud within the first hour for increased recovery chances.
Sathiya’s Commitment to Digital Safety
Sathiya Welfare Society’s dedication to cyber safety goes beyond event coordination. The organization
actively collaborates with police departments, educational institutions, and community members to
ensure a long-term impact. The programs conducted under the Safe Click Campaign were designed to
empower students, community and citizens with knowledge and practical tools to safeguard
themselves from cyber threats.

The Safe Click Campaign 2025 marked a significant step in strengthening digital safety awareness
across different work locations of Sathiya Welfare Society. As we are highly dependent on digital
interactions, awareness is the strongest defence against cybercrimes. Through its unwavering
commitment and collaborative approach, Sathiya Welfare Society will continue to play a crucial role in
ensuring a safer digital environment for all.
